Insurance
Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance. It is your responsibility to check with your insurance to see if services are covered.
Currently, New Waters Counseling has providers that are is in-network provider with:
- Highmark BCBS Insurance as well as other BCBS products
- UPMC Heatlth Plan Commercial
- Cigna
Check with your provider to see which plans they participate in. If we can not accept your insurance, we can provide you with a "super bill" which you may submit to your insurance as an out-of network provider for potential reimbursement. We have competitive rates if you choose to pay privately. Out of pocket payment is expected for services not covered by insurance and will be due in full at the time of your appointment.
Policies
Payment:
We accept cash, check, debit cards, and major credit cards (including by credit card on file authorization). You are responsible for fees from credit card companies, collection agencies or banks due to non-sufficient funds, payment disputes, or non-payment of fees. A fee of $30 will be assessed for returned checks. Please notify me if there is any change in your payment information or if any problem arises in your ability to make payments. If a part of your insurance product, co-pays are due at time of service.
Cancellations:
If you wish to cancel a scheduled visit, please notify me within 24 hours prior to your visit. New Waters Counseling reserves the right to charge for the session fee if cancellations are provided without advanced notice.
Running Late:
Please call if you are running late for a scheduled appointment. If you are going to be more than 10 minutes late then we may need to reschedule your visit.
Stick Around:
Parents or caregivers that bring children to an appointment are expected to remain in the waiting area or nearby. I often invite parents or family members into the end of a session to help generalize the session to the family.
